Vision and Mission Statement

KPMG- Klynveld Peat Marwick Goerdeler

Vision Statement:  We are committed to creating a working environment where people can flourish and find the freedom to fulfil their potential. As part of our People strategy, we examine our approach to a number of areas such as recruitment and retention, personal development, flexible working, overall reward, people management, leadership, diversity and inclusion. Our progress in these areas is reviewed regularly by the Board. We are committed to developing people’s skills and have implemented a number of programmes to do this. Our programmes ensure that our people get the right support from talented leaders who can motivate, coach and lead by example. We want KPMG to be the best choice for talented people and our online recruitment service helps us to identify the people who we think will thrive within KPMG. We have over 10,000 people who work at KPMG and we recruited 780 graduates in 2006 and almost 2,000 experienced staff.  Our people are the key to our success and a talented workforce will make KPMG stand out in a highly competitive marketplace and enable us to provide the best service to our clients.

Mission Statement: KPMG is the global network of professional services firms whose aim is to turn knowledge into value for the benefit of our clients, our people and the capital markets.

Vision and Mission statements came from their website.

I chose KPMG because they are one of the top four accounting firms in the world. I thought that the things that they would put in a vision and mission statement would be similar to what I would want to put in my vision and mission statement for my tax service company that I am doing for my group’s proposal.  KPMG’s vision statement conveys that they really care about their employees because they are dedicated to finding the best employees, developing their skills, and promoting them up the company. Their mission statement conveys that they will take their clients questions and knowledge and turn it into value that their clients can use.  I think that their mission statement is effective because it is short and shows that they have the skills that the clients needs. The vision statement is effective because it gives so many positive examples that will attract excellent employees who will help KPMG help the customers.
